CCFI releases report on Production of Mussels and Urchin (uni) using HPP
CCFI notes: The Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) mussel industry has identified the need to diversify its product forms (i.e., fresh & value-added) and expand to include alternative farmed shellfish species (i.e., sea urchins). CCFI releases report evaluating the extraction of Cod Liver Oil
CCFI notes: This report summarizes a process development study for the extraction of extra-virgin cod liver oil (EVCLO) on a laboratory scale. The general approach was to develop an accelerated traditional rendering process that achieves high oil yields at ambient (17°C) temperature.
